Perhaps I'm a Runner?

Flash-foward several months again and I've discovered that this whole running thing is an addiction...and I've gotten Greg hooked. Muahahah. :>

Follow my journey as I prepare for the Chicago Marathon and get in tip-top shape. A far cry from my days as a fat kid that took like 25 minutes to run a mile in gym class. If only Mr. Simpson could see me now...

Perfect 10.

The weather this morning was excellent for running: about 70, overcast, just-after-the-rain humid. Ade and I headed to the Monon around 8 and discovered there were quite a few other people already running (duh, Indy Runners, we finally figured out when we saw the tent they had set up). It was kind of cool that there were so many people out. It was almost a social gathering of sorts. I definitely need some cuter running clothes.

Running with Ade ended up working out really well because I managed to keep a non-killing-myself pace and didn't feel too bad afterward. I did, however, promptly go home, eat a bowl of "Optimum Rebound" cereal and pass out for a couple of hours. I've since made it to the shower, but I'm pretty sure I have another nap in the near future.

Hey, I've been sick. I can be a lazy bum today. Until tonight... then it's on.

Song to finish to: Through the Wire -- Kanye
